What Past Travellers Say

Verified reviews from travellers who completed this tour.

★★★★★

“The Etosha waterhole at Halali Lodge at night is something I will never forget. We sat in darkness and watched elephants, rhinos, and a pride of lions all drink within metres of each other. Our guide knew every species and behaviour. Absolutely extraordinary.”

Trip: 4 Days Etosha & Damaraland Safari

★★★★★

“The Himba cultural visit in Damaraland was the most genuine encounter I’ve had in 20 years of travel. No performance, no tourist script — just real people sharing their lives. Then Swakopmund at sunset on the Skeleton Coast. I was completely speechless.”

Trip: 4 Days Etosha & Damaraland Safari

★★★★★

“For a 4-day itinerary, the amount we saw and experienced was remarkable. The custom safari vehicle made a massive difference — standing through the pop-up roof in Etosha watching a rhino walk past at arm’s length. Tourist Lads made every moment count.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your Namibia safari.

What is the best time to visit Namibia?

Etosha is excellent year-round but peaks May–October (dry season) when wildlife concentrates at waterholes. Damaraland and the Skeleton Coast are best April–October. Summer (November–March) brings green landscapes and excellent birding but some roads can be challenging.

How big are the small group departures?

Small group departures typically have 6–12 passengers in a custom-built safari vehicle. The pop-up roof means every seat has excellent game viewing access. If you prefer total privacy, we offer private departures — ask us for pricing.

Is a 4-day itinerary enough time for Namibia?

This itinerary is designed to cover Namibia’s greatest highlights efficiently. You’ll experience Etosha, Damaraland, the Skeleton Coast, and Walvis Bay — a genuine cross-section of Namibia. We also offer extended 7-day and 10-day Namibia itineraries if you’d like more depth.

What is the Swedish Kammarkollegiet travel guarantee?

The Kammarkollegiet is the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency. The travel guarantee ensures that if Tourist Lads were unable to fulfil your booking, you would be financially protected and repatriated if necessary. It is one of the strongest travel guarantees available.

Do I need a 4x4 driving experience to join this tour?

No — you are a passenger throughout. Our professional guide drives the custom-built safari vehicle for the entire journey. No driving experience or licence is required from guests.

What should I pack for a 4-day Namibia safari?

Neutral-coloured, lightweight clothing in layers (mornings and evenings can be cold even in summer), a sun hat, sunscreen, good walking shoes, binoculars, and a camera with zoom lens. We provide a detailed packing list to all confirmed guests.
