🦁 About N/a'an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary
N/a’an ku sê is one of Namibia’s most respected wildlife conservation projects, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and protecting Namibia’s wildlife and San Bushmen communities.
During your visit you may encounter rescued lions, cheetahs, caracals, baboons, wild dogs, and leopards — each with a story of survival and rehabilitation. The sanctuary also operates a highly regarded Lifeline Programme supporting local San communities.
The visit is included in your safari on Day 1 and is exclusive to this 7-day itinerary.

📋 Health & Travel Requirements

Malaria: Low to moderate risk in the Etosha region. Prophylaxis is recommended — consult your healthcare provider at least 6 weeks before departure.
Yellow Fever: May be required if arriving from certain countries. Confirm with a travel health clinic.
Comprehensive travel insurance including emergency evacuation cover is strongly recommended for all travellers.
🎒 Packing Guide
✓ Neutral safari clothing for Etosha — khaki, beige, olive
✓ Warm layer for early mornings (desert cold is sharp before 9am)
✓ SPF 50+ sun protection — Namibia sun is intense
✓ UV-protection hat and sunglasses
✓ Comfortable closed shoes for dune walking
✓ Camera with zoom lens and dust protection bag
✓ Binoculars for Etosha game drives
✓ Reusable water bottle
✓ Light wind layer for Swakopmund (Atlantic coastal wind)
💡 Sossusvlei Tips
Day 6 begins before sunrise to enter Sossusvlei at first light — the dunes photograph best in the golden hour and temperatures are far more comfortable for climbing.
Dune 45 is accessible to most fitness levels — a popular stop before the 4×4 shuttle. Big Daddy is significantly more demanding at the summit with deep loose sand. Your guide will advise based on your group.
The walk into Deadvlei is approximately 1km across soft sand from the shuttle drop-off. Carry water. The ancient camel thorn trees have not moved in 900 years — the landscape is exactly as striking as it appears in photographs.
