This is an overland camping safari — 10 of your 11 nights are in twin-share tents with shared ablution facilities. This is the authentic way to experience Namibia’s remote wilderness areas.

Tents are erected and dismantled each day by the camp assistant and guide. Guests are expected to assist with basic camp duties — meal preparation and packing — as part of the group overland experience.

The one hotel night in Swakopmund provides a welcome contrast after several days in the field, with a private en-suite room and access to town facilities.

Sleeping bags are not included in the safari price and are essential for comfort — especially in the Namib Desert where nights can drop significantly even in warmer months.

Sleeping bags can be hired locally in Windhoek or Swakopmund at additional cost. If you prefer to bring your own, a 3-season sleeping bag is recommended for most months. Please confirm seasonal requirements when booking.

Solo travellers are very welcome on this safari. Where possible, you will be matched with another single traveller of the same sex on a twin-share basis.

A single supplement is available for travellers who prefer a private tent and room throughout. This is subject to availability and carries an additional cost — please enquire when booking.

The overland format creates a natural group dynamic — the shared camp duties and long driving days build genuine camaraderie among participants.

Visa: Most nationalities receive visa-free entry to Namibia. Confirm your passport requirements before travel.

Malaria: Low to moderate risk in northern areas (Etosha, Palmwag). Prophylaxis recommended — consult a healthcare provider at least 6 weeks before departure.
